Produced from 2002 to 2009 the 350Z was designed by Diane Allen, Mamour Aoki, and Ajay Panchal. Powered by the 3.5-litre VQ35DE DOHC V6 engine, the 350Z produced 287 hp and 274 ft. lb. of torque. The 350Z came in five different trim packages, with the Nismo edition being the top of the line featuring a 6-speed manual, VLSD, and a Nismo designed aero package based on the super GT car. It also had a Nismo tuned sport suspension, four-piston front and two-piston rear Brembo brakes, Nismo branded Rays forged alloy wheels, and a Nismo exhaust. Nismo also produced other special editions. The R-Tune edition featured headers, cams, and pulleys. The S-Tune GT featured revised bodywork with a long nose, a modified engine with 296 hp, a 7200rpm redline, and a Nismo sports suspension. Nismo also created the type 380RS which was a road version of the competition race car. It featured a detuned race engine producing 348 hp and 293 lb. ft. of torque.
